Preparatory programs are available in most of the Chinese universities for an overseas student to get prepared for their degree study in China. There are mainly two categories of preparatory courses.

Category 1:
This program is designed for students of HSK 4 or equivalent Chinese language proficiency. The courses will focus on advanced Chinese and English, and optional Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Biology for science students.

Category 2:
This program is suitable for students with little or basic Chinese language knowledge. Intensive Chinese language training will be provided for students to meet the admission criteria for full degree programs.
